Dany Garcia is an American entrepreneur, film producer, and business executive whose career spans finance, entertainment, sports ownership, and brand development. After earning a degree in international marketing and finance from the University of Miami, Garcia began her professional career at Merrill Lynch, advancing to the role of associate vice president. She later established her own wealth management firm before transitioning to the entertainment industry, where she became a prominent figure in film production and brand management. As CEO and chairwoman of The Garcia Companies, Garcia oversees a portfolio of global brands, including Teremana Tequila, ZOA Energy, GSTQ, and the Project Rock Collection at Under Armour.
Garcia co-founded Seven Bucks Productions, a production company known for producing major Hollywood films. As producer, Garcia has overseen projects such as "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle," "Hobbs & Shaw," "Jungle Cruise," "Red Notice," "Black Adam," and "Red One." "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" grossed nearly $1 billion worldwide, ranking among Sony's highest-grossing films. Garcia made history in the sports industry when she, along with business partner Dwayne Johnson and RedBird Capital, acquired the XFL, becoming the first woman to hold a co-equal or majority ownership stake in a professional sports league in the United States.
