• Ballet to Bullets

  The goal of this presentation is to encourage a positive change in our communities and workforce. This unique presentation highlights the skills needed for individuals to become leaders with integrity and to be the change that “I” (as in you) want to see in the world. During this presentation, I will share how I became a leader as an ethnic male ballet dancer in the dance world and then as a ballet dancer moving into the field of law enforcement all the while being a motivational speaker.

  We will also discuss and discover how to develop team and individual skills. These skills include the importance of listening and building relationships with fellow team members and with others who you interact with on a frequent basis. You will learn how to motivate yourself and others along the way. Together, we will discover ways to unite with others while making the most of individual talents.

During this presentation, I will talk about how to maintain a positive attitude in the most difficult of situations. I will share how I became a leader as a professional ethnic male ballet dancer in the dance world after a serious car accident. After my accident, my doctors said that I would never walk again, let alone dance again. With a positive attitude and hard work, I then was able to become a professional ballet dancer despite all the negativity surrounding me and my situation. We will discuss how maintaining a positive attitude in difficult situations helps develop individual and team skills. In today’s world, we must always keep positivity at the forefront if we want to succeed.

  The principles taught in this presentation are applied, each attendee will be able to achieve higher levels of success.
