Carl Alexander is a distinguished PGA professional and the Director of Golf at The Golf Club of Purchase in New York, a role he has held since 2005. With a career spanning over three decades, he has become a prominent figure in the Metropolitan New York golf community, known for his leadership, teaching excellence, and competitive achievements.
Alexander's journey in golf began at Westchester Country Club, where he won back-to-back junior club championships in 1981 and 1982, followed by two men's club championships. He also set a course record of 62 on the South Course. His deep roots in the game were influenced by his father, Jules Alexander, a renowned golf photographer.
Alexander has served as President of the Metropolitan PGA Section and was honored as the 2022 Met PGA Professional of the Year. His commitment to the game extends beyond administration; he continues to compete and has won the Met PGA Senior Championship twice.
