Ann-Margret is a Swedish-American actress, singer, and dancer whose career spans seven decades, establishing her as one of the most enduring and versatile entertainers in Hollywood. Discovered by George Burns, Ann-Margret secured both a record deal at RCA and a film contract at 20th Century Fox. After releasing her first album and making her feature debut as Bette Davis' daughter in Frank Capra's remake "A Pocketful of Miracles," she received her first Golden Globe Award for New Actress of the Year.
With her energetic dancing style and distinctive vocals, Ann-Margret contributed to the revival of the Hollywood musical with her role in "Bye Bye Birdie" and played a significant part in "Viva Las Vegas," starring alongside Elvis Presley. She co-starred in "Bye Bye Birdie" with Dick Van Dyke and established herself as a recording artist with two albums and several hit singles. Her single "I Just Don't Understand" entered the Billboard Top 40 and peaked at number 17, earning her a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist.
