Amanda Peet's career in the entertainment industry began in 1995, with her appearing in notable film productions such as "The Whole Nine Yards" (2000), "Something's Gotta Give" (2003), and "2012" (2009). Her performance in "2012" was particularly well-received, as the film grossed over US$769 million worldwide. Peet's television roles have been equally prominent, with her taking on characters such as Jordan McDeere on "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" (2006-2007), Tina Morris on "Togetherness" (2015–2016), and Betty Broderick in "Dirty John" (2020). Recently, she has worked on the Paramount+ adaptation of "Fatal Attraction" (2023) and the Apple TV+ series "Your Friends & Neighbors."
In addition to her prolific acting career, Peet has begun to make her mark as a writer and producer. Most notably, she wrote and co-executive produced the Netflix series "The Chair" in 2021.
