Trey Hillman Biography
Trey Hillman is a professional baseball manager and coach with a diverse and international career. He is best known for managing teams in Major League Baseball (MLB), Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) in Japan, and the KBO League in South Korea.
Hillman began his career in baseball as a minor league infielder but transitioned early into coaching and player development roles. He gained national and international recognition during his tenure as manager of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in Japan’s NPB, where he led the team to a Japan Series championship in 2006.
Following his success in Japan, Hillman returned to the U.S. and became the manager of the Kansas City Royals (2008–2010). Afterward, he served in various coaching roles, including with the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, and Miami Marlins. He also managed the SK Wyverns in South Korea and became the first person to manage in MLB, NPB, and KBO.
