Tommy Johnagin Biography
Tommy Johnagin is one of the best young comics of his generation. With a deadpan delivery and quick, sharp writing, he's reminiscent of Louis C.K. -- only less dark and without all the cursing. His comedy is a mix of observational humor (though much smarter and funnier than the average "Have you ever noticed?" variety) and utter self-deprecation.
Tommy Johnagin started his stand-up career at the ripe young age of eighteen. Tommy dropped out of college at twenty-one to pursue his dream and become a full time comedian. He vows he will one day make enough money to pay his parents back for the six semesters of college he wasted. Tommy doesn't curse on stage but doesn't steer away from any topic. If it's funny Tommy will say it.
Tommy is an autobiographical story telling comedian who is a favorite at comedy clubs all across the country. He has a gift of finding something funny in everyone he meets and everything he does. Tommy takes great pride in his writing because he is a medium energy act without the gift to sell a joke with actions alone. In 2007 Tommy was invited to the prestigious Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, Canada where he was the highest reviewed New Face. He has also appeared at Comedy Centrals South Beach Comedy Festival.
TV credits include: Four appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman. His own half-hour special on Comedy Central, Comedy Centrals Live at Gotham and, John Olivers New York Stand-up Show. In 2010 he finished 2nd on NBCs Last Comic Standing. Hes also appeared on CMTs Comedy Stage and TBSs Very Funny Stand Up Show. He has also been a guest numerous times on the nationally syndicated radio programs The Bob and Tom Show and the The Ron and Fez Show.
