Terri Seymour Biography
Terri Seymour is an English entertainment reporter, television presenter, and actress whose career spans two continents and multiple facets of the entertainment industry. Before establishing herself in American media, Seymour worked as a model and television personality in the United Kingdom, beginning her modeling career at age 12. As a model, she traveled to fashion capitals such as Paris, Milan, and New York, appeared in magazines including Elle, Marie Claire, Vogue, and GQ, and participated in Benetton advertising campaigns. Seymour also walked in runway shows for designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Donna Karan, and Armani. She appeared in music videos for UK rock band Marillion's "No One Can" and Karl Keaton's "Love's Burn."
Seymour began her television career with a role in NBC's miniseries "In the Beginning," later co-hosting "Wheel of Fortune" on ITV and appearing in the British film "24 Hour Party People." She was featured on the UK's GMTV and served as a correspondent on the daytime show "This Morning." In the United States, Seymour appeared as an entertainment reporter on FOX 11's "Good Day L.A." Her film credits include "Material Girl" with Hilary Duff, "The Leading Man" with Jon Bon Jovi, and HBO's "In the Beginning." She also served as a judge on "The Tyra Banks Show's" Male Model Search.
Seymour joined "Extra" as a freelance reporter covering "American Idol" before becoming a full-time correspondent, reporting on television, fashion and beauty, movie premieres, junkets, and on-set visits. She regularly covers major Hollywood events, including the Primetime Emmy Awards, the Academy Awards, and the Golden Globe Awards. As an "Extra" correspondent, Seymour also appears as an entertainment commentator on programs such as CNN Showbiz Tonight, Fox News, and MSNBC.
Beyond her on-screen work, Seymour is known for her advocacy in health awareness. In her early twenties, she was diagnosed with systemic lupus, which led to peritonitis and required surgery and medication before going into remission. Following her diagnosis, Seymour became an ambassador for Lupus LA, using her platform in entertainment journalism to promote awareness and support for lupus research. She has hosted and been recognized at multiple Lupus LA Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon events, helping to raise significant funds for lupus initiatives. Lupus LA has publicly acknowledged her ongoing role as an ambassador. Seymour's personal experience with autoimmune disease, combined with her extensive career in Hollywood and journalism, positions her as a credible voice on entertainment, health, and resilience.
