Sean Gold Biography

Sean Gold is a Black, disabled, gay author, disability rights advocate, and speaker based in Saint Louis, Missouri. Living with cerebral palsy and non-speaking, Gold uses texting and a voice transcriber to challenge stereotypes and reframe what leadership and communication can look like.

Gold’s 2019 TEDx talk on inclusion and representation has reached over 17,000 viewers worldwide. As host of the podcast Crippled by Culture, he has interviewed high-profile guests such as Jeannie Mai, Durand Bernarr, and Lachi, exploring the intersection of disability, pop culture, and identity.

As an Amazon #1 new release author, Gold has written two books, including the celebrated children’s title "The ABCs of Disabilities." His storytelling centers Black disabled joy, authentic LGBTQ+ representation, and the dismantling of ableism in everyday life.
