Scott Stapp Biography
Scott Stapp, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Creed, has had a significant impact on the music industry. With Creed, he won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 2001 for the song "With Arms Wide Open." He also co-founded the band Art of Anarchy and was a member from 2016 to 2018. Stapp expanded his repertoire by launching a successful solo career, with four albums to his credit. His debut solo album, "The Great Divide," was released in 2005 and certified double platinum. Furthermore, in 2006, Hit Parader ranked him as the 68th greatest heavy metal vocalist of all time, demonstrating his influence and appeal in the rock music sphere.
In addition to his work with bands and solo projects, Stapp's collaborations have also been noteworthy. In 2010, he worked with Carlos Santana on the album "Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time". In the same year, he recorded the song "Marlins Will Soar" for the Florida Marlins. His second solo album, "Proof of Life," was released in 2013, followed by "The Space Between the Shadows" in 2019. In recent years, he has ventured into electronic dance music, collaborating with artists Wooli and Trivecta on the song "Light Up The Sky" in 2021.
Stapp's career isn't limited to music. In December 2020, it was announced that he would portray Frank Sinatra in a biopic film about U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Off the stage, he has also made significant contributions to philanthropy. In 2000, he founded the With Arms Wide Open Foundation, which has donated over $1 million to various causes.
