Rodney Atkins is a country music singer and songwriter known for his heartfelt storytelling and down-to-earth style that celebrates small-town life, family, and everyday values. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Atkins was adopted as an infant and raised in the nearby town of Cumberland Gap, where his Southern roots and working-class upbringing would later shape his music. He first signed with Curb Records in the late 1990s, but it was his 2006 album If You’re Going Through Hell that launched him into stardom, producing four No. 1 hits including the title track, “Watching You,” “These Are My People,” and “Cleaning This Gun (Come On in Boy).” His success continued with songs like “Take a Back Road” and “Farmer’s Daughter."
