Paul Lisnek Biography
Dr. Paul Lisnek is a multi-Emmy, Beacon, Cablefax and Telly award winning television host and anchor. He is a nationally recognized author and lecturer on politics, law, communication and negotiation.
Paul anchors “Politics Tonight,” a LIVE TV talk show every weeknight on CLTV (the 24 hour news partner of WGN-TV), is the political analyst for WGN-TV appearing on all its news programs, anchors “Newsmakers” and “Broadway in Chicago Backstage,” (on the Comcast Network) and is a frequent political analyst on WGN720-AM, WLS890-AM, WCPT820AM, and WVON1690AM radio. He also hosts “Behind the Curtain,” a podcast on WGNPlus heard on WGNRadio.com
He served as an on-air political and legal expert for NBC News, MSNBC, Fox, CNN and many other stations. Paul has interviewed literally over 1000 politicians and celebrities from President Obama to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and from Betty White to Elton John.
Paul’s keynote addresses, lectures and training have been sponsored by a multitude of Fortune 100 corporations, government entities, and nearly every bar association in the country.
Dr. Lisnek is the author of 14 books including, “Quality Mind, Quality Life”, Winning the Mind Game, and The Hidden Jury. His latest book is his first work of fiction, a political murder mystery called “Assume Guilt,” which has been met with rave reviews.
He is a former assistant dean at Loyola Law School in Chicago and has taught at DePaul University, University of Illinois at Urbana and Pepperdine University Law School’s Institute for Dispute Resolution in Malibu.
Dr. Lisnek is also a respected jury and trial consultant whose firm worked in the O.J. Simpson, Phil Spector, Enron, Casey Anthony (tot-mom) and Detroit Mayor Kwami Kilpatrick matters.
The Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago hosts the Paul M Lisnek Gallery, which houses a permanent exhibit to Paul’s long career in television broadcasting.
