Oyinkan Braithwaite Biography
Oyinkan Braithwaite is a graduate of creative writing and law from Kingston University. After earning her degree, Braithwaite worked as an assistant editor at Kachifo and has since built a career as a freelance writer and editor. Her short stories have appeared in anthologies, and she has also self-published her work.
Braithwaite was shortlisted as a top 10 spoken word artist in the Eko Poetry Slam and for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. She is the author of "My Sister, the Serial Killer," which received the LA Times Award for Best Crime Thriller, the Morning News Tournament of Books, and was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction. The novel was also longlisted for the Booker Prize and has been translated into several languages. "My Sister, the Serial Killer" has been optioned for film adaptation and has positioned Braithwaite as a prominent figure in contemporary crime fiction and literary fiction.
