Nara Smith Biography
Nara Aziza Smith is a South African-German model and digital content creator recognized for her influence in the fashion and social media industries. Smith began her modeling career at age 14 after being discovered through IMG Models' We Love Your Genes campaign. By 18, she relocated to California to further develop her modeling portfolio, walking runways for couture brands such as Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford, as well as participating in Lewis Hamilton and Tommy Hilfiger's fall collection launch in Milan.
Smith is widely known for her cooking videos, in which she prepares recipes from scratch while wearing high-fashion outfits. Her content blends elements of cooking shows, family vlogs, and fashion spreads, distinguishing her within the digital creator landscape. Smith's videos often feature her making items like boba, gum, bread, and cereal, all prepared from scratch in a pristine kitchen setting.
Smith has established a unique presence online, positioning herself as a food enthusiast who values transparency in her diet, a perspective shaped by her experiences with autoimmune disease and eczema. She has shared her journey with eczema and lupus, attributing improvements in her health to lifestyle changes and a commitment to homemade cooking. Her openness about these health challenges has fostered a strong connection with her audience, encouraging viewers to reconsider their own approaches to food and wellness.
Smith's TikTok channel has attracted more than 12 million followers, expanding her influence beyond the platform. She has collaborated with Marc Jacobs, producing a video that received 17 million views, and has served as the face of Aritzia's Sweatfleece campaign. Smith also appeared in a Skims holiday campaign alongside Lucky Blue Smith. Her trajectory from niche TikTok creator to a prominent figure in the fashion industry includes recognition by Business of Fashion and attendance at the BoF 500 Gala during Paris Fashion Week.
