Morris Chestnut is recognized for his work as a film and television actor, with a career spanning more than two decades. Chestnut is known for roles in films such as "Boyz in the Hood," "The Brothers," "The Perfect Holiday," "Think Like a Man," and "The Best Man," as well as its sequel, "The Best Man Holiday."
Chestnut reprised the role of Lance Sullivan in Peacock's limited series "The Best Man: The Final Chapters." He received an NAACP Image Award for his performance. He also appears in Hulu's "Reasonable Doubt."
Chestnut starred in the Fox drama "The Resident" as Dr. Barrett Cain and in the NBC drama "The Enemy Within." He also appeared in the Fox series "Rosewood," a drama centered on a pathologist working with Miami police. For his work in "Rosewood," Chestnut received a fourth NAACP Image Award nomination in the category of outstanding actor in a drama series.
