Matthew Del Negro is an actor, producer, podcaster, and author whose career spans more than two decades across television, film, and theater. Del Negro began his acting career in small theater productions in New York while bartending, before securing a recurring role on Season 4 of HBO's "The Sopranos" opposite James Gandolfini and Edie Falco. Building on that momentum, Del Negro appeared on Aaron Sorkin's NBC series "The West Wing" and Diablo Cody's Showtime series "The United States of Tara."
Del Negro's body of work includes performances on stage and screen. He returned to the stage for A.C.T.'s sold-out run of David Mamet's "Speed the Plow," playing Bobby Gould, and gained recognition for his portrayal of Michael Ambruso on ABC's "Scandal." Del Negro portrayed Mayor Gavin Newsom in the ABC miniseries "When We Rise," which explores the gay rights movement in the United States, and played Detective Hauser in the Warner Bros. feature "Hot Pursuit" with Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara. He also appeared in Taylor Sheridan's "Wind River" with Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner, and Jon Bernthal. Del Negro's work includes a dramatic turn on "Goliath" and a comedic role as Jason Alan Ross on Netflix's "Huge in France."
Del Negro has continued to secure roles on high-profile television series. He became a series regular on Showtime's Boston crime drama "City on a Hill" alongside Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge. Del Negro joined Paramount+'s "Mayor of Kingstown" as Will Breen, a corrections officer at the Kingstown Women's Prison, and appeared in the 1970s crime thriller "Hotel Cocaine" on MGM+ and the Peacock limited series "Long Bright River" opposite Amanda Seyfried. He is also featured in the series "Neagley."
In addition to his on-screen work, Del Negro has developed a media platform focused on resilience and perseverance. He launched the podcast "10,000 NOs," where he interviews individuals from various fields about overcoming rejection and adversity.
