Dr. Marshall Hennington is a trial and jury consultant with more than three decades of experience in civil and criminal courts across the United States. Hennington is recognized for his work as a diversity consultant, providing expertise to corporations as a trial and jury consultant. He is the founder, president, and CEO of Diversity Enterprises, Inc., a multicultural diversity consulting and training firm based in Beverly Hills, California, focused on addressing issues that impact organizational productivity, morale, and profitability.
Hennington holds a bachelor's degree in social science from the University of California, Berkeley, an educational master's degree in counseling psychology from Columbia University in New York City, and a master's degree and Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology. Following graduate school, Hennington worked at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute as a mental health practitioner before establishing his private practice. He serves as president and CEO of Hennington and Associates Psychological Group, Inc., with offices in New York, Miami, Beverly Hills, and Sacramento.
Hennington specializes in jury research, juror profiles, and jury selection for civil and criminal cases. He has consulted in more than 100 cases and has worked with major corporations including Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company, Hewlett-Packard, MasterCard, Lockheed Martin, Delta Airlines, Chevron Oil Corporation, State Farm Insurance, Universal Pictures, the Department of Justice, and American Airlines. His experience includes involvement in high-profile criminal trials such as the Thomas Toolan murder trial in Nantucket, the Ron Ruden murder trial in Las Vegas, Operation Casablanca—the largest money laundering trial in U.S. history—and the Reverend Henry Lyons corruption trial in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Hennington has expertise in business and employment law, training employers on workplace environment issues and the legal implications of their actions. He has provided testimony in depositions, arbitrations, and trials involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, race, gender, workplace bullying, sexual abuse, verbal and physical abuse, constructive discharge, employee misconduct, police brutality, wrongful death, and workplace violence. Hennington is a member of the American Psychology Association's Law and Psychology Division and has served on the professional visibility board of the American Society of Trial Consultants.
Hennington is a public speaker and media commentator, with features in Newsweek Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, People Magazine, The Miami Business Journal, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. He is a regular commentator on CNN and MSNBC and served as a legal commentator for the Michael Jackson trial.
