Margot Robbie is an Australian actress and producer known for her work in film and television. After relocating to the United States, Robbie starred in the television drama "Pan Am" and gained international recognition with her breakthrough role in Martin Scorsese's black comedy "The Wolf of Wall Street." For her performance in "The Wolf of Wall Street," she was named one of Vanity Fair's breakthrough actors of the year, received a nomination for the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, and won the Empire Award for Best Newcomer.

In preparation for the role, Robbie met with Harding, studied archival footage and interviews, worked with a voice coach to master Harding's Pacific Northwest accent, and underwent several months of skating instruction.
