Leslie Grace Biography
Leslie Grace Martínez is a Dominican-American singer, songwriter, and actress whose career spans the Latin music industry and Hollywood film. Martínez became the youngest woman to top the Latin Airplay chart with her mainstream debut, "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," a bilingual cover of the Shirelles hit. She has received three Latin Grammy Award nominations, including Best Contemporary Tropical Album at the Latin Grammy Awards and Tropical Album of the Year at Premio Lo Nuestro.
Martínez's music career gained momentum with her self-titled second studio album, "Leslie Grace," which reached number four on the Billboard Latin Albums chart and number three on the Billboard Tropical Albums chart. As a songwriter, she has collaborated with artists such as Mya, Wisin, Noriel, and Joey Badass. Her discography includes Billboard-charting singles and collaborations with international acts like Super Junior. The album "Lloviendo Estrellas" further established her presence in Latin pop and bachata, followed by the full-length release "Amor, Quién Eres?."
Martínez expanded into acting with a leading role in the film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway musical "In the Heights." Her portrayal of Nina Rosario marked a significant moment in her acting career, earning recognition from critics and inclusion in Variety's 10 Actors To Watch and Hollywood Reporter's Next Gen Talents.
Martínez was cast as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in HBO Max's "Batgirl." Although the film was not released, she continued to build her acting portfolio with supporting roles, including Jimmie Sue in the Western thriller "The Thicket" and Yenny in the coming-of-age drama "In the Summers," which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival.
With a career bridging Latin pop, bachata, and film, Martínez continues to contribute to both the music and entertainment industries. Her singles, including "Bachatica," "Un Buen Día," "ayayay!," and "INMERECIDO," reflect her ongoing presence in Latin music. Martínez also stars in the underwater survival thriller "Propel" and co-leads a real estate drama pilot for Hulu's Onyx Collective. Her work demonstrates versatility across music, songwriting, and acting in both English and Spanish-language markets.
