Koryn Hawthorne is a contemporary Christian music and gospel singer. She gained prominence as a finalist in season 8 of NBC's "The Voice". Following her success on the show, Hawthorne signed with RCA Inspiration, a division of Sony Music dedicated to gospel music recordings. Her debut studio album, "Unstoppable", was released in 2018. Her lead single from the album, "Won't He Do It", reached number 1 on Billboard's three main gospel charts. This achievement made Hawthorne the first woman to top four gospel charts simultaneously in five years, and she also became the longest number 1 female artist holder on Billboard's "Hot Gospel Songs Chart".
Hawthorne has performed at the Christian music's summer concert event, the Summer Lights Tour, and was nominated for 'New Artist of the Year' and won the award for 'Contemporary Gospel/Urban Recorded Song of the Year' for "Won't He Do It" at the 49th Annual GMA Dove Awards. Her second album was titled "I AM", released in 2020, followed by "On God" in 2024. Hawthorne has been nominated for and received various awards, including American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, GMA Dove Awards, Grammy Awards, and NAACP Image Awards.
