Josef Adamu Biography
Josef Adamu is Founder and Creative Director for the brand agency Sunday School Creative, which caters to the development of creative campaigns and content marketing for various brands.
Operating within the worlds of both commercial photography and art, Sunday School brings together photographers, videographers, stylists, and models to push the boundaries of visual storytelling within Africa and across the diaspora. Adamu’s clients include Meta, Nike, Spotify and Converse, among others.
Adamu, who is of Canadian and Nigerian descent, was a recipient of a Forbes "30 Under 30" award for Art & Style in 2023. His exhibition "Feels Like Home" at the Art Gallery of Ontario featured works produced by his agency.
Adamu previously worked as a Visual Director for Def Jam Records and Cinematic Music Group, as well as a stylist for the custom men's suit designer Indochino.
Adamu is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Enterprise Management.
