Work could be so much better, and organizations could win so much bigger: Stressed out, disconnected and unfulfilled, that’s the state of work today. Some 55% of workers are dissatisfied, 66% are not engaged, 33% feel like they’ve reached career dead-ends and the fastest-growing segment—young, purpose-seeking workers—are fleeing jobs devoid of personal significance. At the same time, organizations with highly-engaged teams grow earnings 4-times faster, are more productive, retain employees longer, and show 21% greater profitability.
What if your employees were performing at peak potential? Filled with purpose, fully engaged and alive? This is what happens when they are “sparked!” Anyone can work from this place, regardless of job, title or industry, once they discover their research-based Sparketype®, the unique source-code for work that makes them come fully alive.
Jonathan Fields—the Good Life Guy—is on a decades-long quest to discover what makes people come fully alive. He developed the Sparketypes®, a powerful tool used by over 300,000 people to identify their purpose, engagement and flow—and transform how they work, lead and live.
What makes a great leader? Skill and experience play a role, of course. But, to unlock their true potential, along with new levels of engagement and performance in their teams, leaders need to know:
Understanding this about oneself and others gives leaders the rare ability to both lead from a place of unbridled purpose, engagement and potential, and also inspire the same in those they lead.

A good life. It’s what we all want. What we devote so much of our waking hours to. Yet, so often, it feels like the good life is forever just ahead, around yet one more corner. Never to arrive. No matter how hard we work or how much we sacrifice, we find ourselves perpetually unfulfilled, disconnected and asking “is this all there is?”
What if you could feel differently? Not someday, but today. What if, pursued differently, living a truly good life was entirely possible—today? Turns out, it is. And, it’s not about big, disruptive changes, but rather discovering a simple yet powerful new model and taking tiny daily steps—steps that lead to exponential change.
Jonathan Fields is the author of the bestseller, How to Live a Good Life, and host of one of the world’s top podcasts, Good Life Project. The Wall Street Journal named Good Life Project one of the top self-development podcasts, and Apple recently picked the show out of more than 750,000 others to feature during its legendary annual product event. He shares insights to spark your purpose, possibility, and potential!
Whether you’re a leader, salesperson, or entrepreneur, your success is tied to your ability to cultivate trust, openness, and commitment. There are thousands of books about how to do this. And virtually all of them miss what’s most essential.
Here’s the secret: It’s less about what you do and say, and more about interacting with a hyper-focused state of awareness called “Exquisite Attention™.” Master this super-power capability and every relationship, in business and life, becomes exponentially deeper. You’ll have greater impact in less time.
On a decades-long quest to uncover what makes people come alive, Jonathan Fields—the Good Life Guy—founded one of the world’s top podcasts, Good Life Project. Through his years interviewing people from all walks of life as host of the podcast, Jonathan discovered the power of Exquisite Attention. The insights he shares will transform your interactions and spark purpose, possibility, and potential.
Jonathan came in with a soothing presence that was measured and gentle, but also he provided concrete strategies for how to cope with the future. He gave reasons and explanations, and referred to research without getting overly technical or obscure. All of this was delivered smoothly and coherently to a tired audience at the end of the convention, and yet I believe most were tuned-in and attentive. I also had a good experience in follow up, where I was able to tweet Jonathan to ask about a meditation app that he described during his talk, and he took the time to answer my tweet and direct me to the correct item. He walks the talk. I was glad to hear what he had to say, and feel extremely fortunate to have been present.

Jonathan stepped up to the plate in the proverbial bottom of the 9th inning (last speaker at a convention full of great speakers and thinkers). By all accounts, he hit a grand slam for the win!
I venture a conservative estimate that 95+% of the conference attendees were still present for Jonathan's talk on "Uncertainty". The reasons why that number is so high all point to a single truth - Jonathan commands attention, respect, and admiration. He has a gentle stage presence that isn't contrived nor domineering. He makes you feel at home in your seat; you'd swear you were entertaining him as a family guest in your sitting room. Further, Jonathan's magic stems from his great storytelling abilities and prodigious knack at illustrating thoughts in your mind. And his marshaling of facts, quotes, and research-backed anecdotes cement his credibility as a thought-leader not to be ignored.
His message of "taking bold consistent action in the face of uncertainty" certainly resonated with the audience. Bravo Jonathan!

I had read Career Renegade, but didn't know how well Jonathan could speak to a crowd. He led us through how we can use fear as a motivator and instead of viewing it as a barrier, use it as a stepping stone. Overall, a very strong speech.

Jonathan Fields is one of those unique speakers who draws you in and makes the audience part of the value he is creating. Through a wonderful, entertaining combination of storytelling and insightful questioning, Jonathan does more than "tell" you what he thinks you should know. He shows you where the path lies for you, and gives you the courage to follow it having armed you with knowledge. Oh, and he loves to have fun and laugh (always a bonus).
