Jimmy Palmiotti is an American comic book writer, inker, and character creator with a career spanning decades in the comics industry. Palmiotti has worked extensively in advertising, production, consulting, editorial, film writing, development and production, media presentation, and video game development. He began his career at Marvel Comics, inking titles such as "Punisher," "Ghost Rider," "The Nam," and the Marvel 2099 line, and has accumulated a wide range of inking and writing credits. Palmiotti frequently collaborated with Joe Quesada, with whom he co-created "Ash" and "Painkiller Jane."
At Marvel, Palmiotti and Quesada launched the Marvel Knights imprint, which played a significant role in revitalizing characters including Daredevil and Black Panther. This imprint influenced adaptations for streaming platforms and film. Palmiotti is also a co-founder of Event Comics, Black Bull Media, and Paperfilms, where he partners with Amanda Conner and Justin Gray. Together, they have created and co-created titles such as "Monolith," "21 Down," "The Resistance," and "The Twilight Experiment" for DC Comics, as well as "The New West," "The Pro," "Gatecrasher," "Beautiful Killer," "Ash," and the television series "Painkiller Jane."
