Fabian Hemmert Biography
Fabian Hemmert is a design researcher whose work focuses on the body's role in interactions with mobile devices. Hemmert is a professor of interface and user experience design at the University of Wuppertal, where he leads research on tangible and embodied interaction in digital interfaces.
Previously, Hemmert served as deputy professor for interface design at Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel, Germany. He has contributed to Design Research Lab and Telekom Innovation Labs, and his industry experience includes roles at Nintendo of Europe and Marvel.
Hemmert holds a doctorate from Berlin University of the Arts, a Master of Arts in design from Potsdam University of Applied Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science in media and computer science from University of Bielefeld.
Hemmert is known internationally for prototypes exploring the future of mobile communication, and his work has been featured at major conferences such as TED and CHI. He is a frequent keynote speaker at design and technology events, addressing topics in human-computer interaction and user experience design.
