• Healing Prayer

  I am ill: What do I do? How do I pray? I was healed: Does everyone get healed? Is healing for today or just for the age of the apostles? Do I pray "if it be Thy will?" or is there another way??

  Many Christians are familiar with the New Testament stories of Jesus miraculously healing the crippled, the paralyzed, the blind, and the chronically and terminally ill. But how do those ancient miracles help today’s Christians currently facing terrifying diagnoses and illnesses? How are Christians to respond when someone we love is sick?

  Dr. David Chotka shares his unexpected journeys of discovering God’s idea for healing prayer in his presentations on this subject. Chotka believes that Healing Prayer is God's Idea--and that we are partners with God is seeking out health and healing by medicine and miracle. Chotka was himself miraculously healed of Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome. His wife Elizabeth was healed of FSH Muscular Dystrophy.

• Listening to the God Who Speaks

  Does God speak today? Is it only for a few, or is it for the ordinary believer? How can I know that the voice in my head is God, and not merely yesterday's chat with my friends?

  In travelling to six continents, speaking with tribal societies, rugged individualists, people under Communist oppression, and in the freedom of Western societies, every kind of Christian wants to know this one thing: Am I being guided by God--or was that just me? This universal question, "How do I know when God is guiding" was the topic of David Chotka's doctoral work at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

  After years of study, decades of interacting with Christians of every kind, Chotka has developed tried and true approaches to test out and know when God is guiding. His #1 bestselling book "Hey! Are You There? It's Me God! How to Listen, Test and Know When God Speaks, gives tried and true accounts from modern life, personal testimony and leaders throughout church history, to tease out how we can sift out God's direction.   The goal of this presentation is to place the tools believers need to "Listen to the God who Speaks." In a course with His book, you will learn 25 different approaches to recognizing how God speaks--and then be given a framework for wise decision-making before the Lord.

  The goal is twofold:

  • to learn to recognize when God is giving you "the tap on the shoulder"
  • to understand that hearing and recognizing God's voice is an ordinary Christian discipline

• Power Praying: Living out the Lord's Prayer, Line by Line

  The Lord's Prayer is far more than six lines to repeat at a Sunday service (or at the close of Wednesday prayer). In fact, each key word of the Lord's Prayer has significant meaning that needs to be placed in the context of the clear teaching of Christ, and then brought into our praying. This presentation will demonstrate that the prayer is actually a memory device to enable us to "think God's thoughts after Him" and to pray into the purposes that are part and parcel of Jesus' teaching. Once we understand the power of this prayer, it will never be the same praying the Lord's Prayer again.

  The goal of this presentation:

  • to demonstrate the incredible power found in the summary that we call The Lord's Prayer.
  • to show how this prayer is a highway to all of Jesus' teaching, so that
  • our prayer lives can be laser focused by informing our praying with the Lord's Prayer framework.

• Deliver us from Evil--and the Evil One

  This talk makes clear that Jesus, his disciples, then crowds who heard Him, and even his enemies all believed that there was not only evil, but an evil one. Jesus came to give us victory over the powers of darkness. His victory becomes ours when we abide in Him. in fact, the Bible is more than clear that the principle reason Jesus came was to undo the works of the devil, every form of injustice, every kind of evil, loveless despair, egregious violations of love--these "works of the devil" have been targeted by Jesus as the object of his destruction. By the infilling of His Spirit, Jesus anointing to do this very thing is transferred to us, and we can defeat the unclean powers.

  The goal of this presentation:

  • to teach believers the reality of evil and the evil one
  • to give tried and true approaches to standing in Jesus' victory over the works of the devil
