Dr. D. Anthony Miles is a serial entrepreneur, self-made millionaire, award-winning researcher, award- winning statistician, forensic marketing pioneer, Hall of Famer, expert witness, leading business expert and best-selling author. Dr. Miles is a leading startup and marketing expert. He has appeared in the national media for his expertise. Dr. Miles is an author and researcher that is well published in numerous academic journals. He authored, co-authored, and designed over 30 first-generation, researcher-developed instruments for statistical research. He is a 6-time best-selling author. A forensic marketing expert, his latest book is "How To Get Away With Murder in Marketing: Forensic Marketing." His two previous books, "Risk Factors and Business Models" and "Entrepreneurship and Risk," were well received. He is an editorial board member with 12 academic journals. He’s appeared in four documentaries as a leading subject matter expert.
Dr. Miles has won numerous awards for his applied statistics research in marketing and economics. He is the winningest researcher at the Academy of Business Research Conference. He is the all-time winner of 35 ABR’s Best Paper Award for his multivariate statistics research in Marketing, Economics and Business. He won the 2010 Teaching Excellence Award from the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, as one of the top 25% participating faculty in 11 universities in the A&M System. In 2009, he won a fellowship for his doctoral research on entrepreneurial risk patterns with the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) Doctoral Consortium. He was selected as one of 17 distinguished doctoral researchers nationwide in the field of Entrepreneurship. On Research Gate he has over 550,000 downloads of his research.
He has four professional credentials: Certified Chartered Marketing Analyst (CMA)TM; Registered Business Analyst (RBA)TM; Master Business Consultant (MBC)TM; and Management Consultant Professional (MCP)TM. For his education credentials he has a PhD in Entrepreneurship from the University of the Incarnate Word; MBA in International Marketing from Our Lady of the Lake University; and a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
