Coffey Anderson Biography
Coffey Anderson is a country singer-songwriter and entrepreneur known for his work in country music, gospel music, and digital media. Raised in Bangs, Texas, Anderson began his musical journey singing gospel in church before pursuing a professional music career. After relocating to Los Angeles, he maintained his small-town values and independent approach, producing his own albums, booking shows, and editing music videos from his garage.
Anderson gained national attention as a contestant on "Nashville Star," where he became the first contestant of color to reach the top 12 finalists. He later signed with Dream Records, and his self-titled album "Coffey Anderson" charted on the US Billboard 200. Over his career, Anderson has released twelve albums, including six country and six gospel projects. Notable albums include "Southern Man," "Boots & Jeans," and "Cowboy Style." His album "Boots & Jeans" features a blend of country-pop, patriotic lyrics, and Nashville instrumentation, producing songs such as "Mr. Red, White, and Blue" and "Better Today."
Anderson has expanded his influence through digital platforms, launching a YouTube channel that has attracted more than 622,000 subscribers and over 100 million views. He starred in "Country Ever After," a Netflix reality series documenting his music career and family life. Anderson has used his platform to address national conversations, including a widely viewed video on Facebook about safe interactions with law enforcement during traffic stops.
A significant aspect of Anderson's public life is his commitment to honoring the military. Following the deaths of 13 service members during the Afghanistan evacuation, he performed "Mr. Red, White and Blue" at the funerals of nine of the families, traveling at his own expense. Anderson has performed at the Grand Ole Opry multiple times and is a member of both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. He has been recognized by the Texas Country Music Awards for his humanitarian and charitable work. Anderson's catalog spans country, gospel, and pop, and he is known for his engagement with the country music community and his dedication to patriotic themes.
