Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson Biography
Chad Johnson, known from 2008 to 2012 as "Chad Ochocinco," is a former American football wide receiver who played eleven seasons in the National Football League. Johnson serves as a brand ambassador for Adidas and EA Sports. He founded the brand Eighty5 Cigars, and offers commentary on football in national media outlets.
He played college football at Santa Monica College and Oregon State University and was selected in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he spent ten seasons. In 2011, Johnson was traded to the New England Patriots and appeared in Super Bowl XLVI. He later played for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League from 2014 to 2015 and appeared in one game for the Monterrey Fundidores of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional in 2017.
A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Johnson was named to four All-Pro teams and voted the number one wide receiver on the Bengals’ 40th Anniversary team. In 2011, CNBC listed him as the most influential athlete in social media.
