CaT Bobino Biography
CaT Bobino is a STEM ambassador, biologist, author, podcaster, and media personality. On her podcast, "In the Know," Bobino interviews those who are in STEM as their day jobs, and who party, have fun, and generally are just like everyone else. She promotes her podcast for "those interested in finding out about more careers in STEM than what you see in media." Bobino is focused on diversifying and demystifying STEM.
Bobino has been featured on the show Genius with Stephen Hawking. She has written, directed, and starred in programs for KQED, and produces a weekly podcast where she interviews diverse people in STEM as a way of showcasing the different opportunities that are out there for students. She has organized trips to various STEM centers, has been a guest speaker for numerous organizations, and is the author of "In The Know: Setting Up Your Child For A STEM Career" and a children’s book on Virtual Reality for a STEAM Series.
Through her consulting business, In The Know Consulting, LLC, Bobino offers presentations to parents, teachers, and students on the importance of a STEM education as well as identifying key players within these fields. Each presentation leaves the audience with inquiries about STEM, as well as a better understanding of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) that schools must implement. Bobino also promotes awareness, provides networking opportunities, and utilizes media to engage everyday people in the lives of STEM professionals. With experience in K-12 and undergraduate education, networking, mentoring, and media, In The Know Consulting is providing materials that are leading our next generation into the STEM world.
Bobino has started a social media series called "Did You Know," where she speaks about STEM events and opportunities. Coming soon is "Who To Know" – identifying players within the STEM fields, and "Where To Go" – a database of STEM-focused museums and hot spots for families to visit.
Through her nonprofit, Communications in STEM, Bobino secures funding and spaces to host weekly lab trips and experiments for families to enjoy.
