Brendan Hansen is a 6-Time World Champion, 4-Time Olympic Medalist, and a 3-Time World Record Holder. Hansen's competitive swimming career began to rise when he won his first National Championship in 1999. Despite narrowly missing the Olympic team twice in 2000, finishing 3rd in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke at the US Olympic Swimming Trials, these setbacks only fueled his determination. Hansen made history by winning all breaststroke events for four consecutive years at the NCAA Championships. He made his Olympic debut in 2004, securing a Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Hansen was crucial in helping teammate Michael Phelps achieve his record 8th Gold medal in a single Olympic Games by swimming the breaststroke leg in the 4x100 medley relay.
An avid sportsman and outdoorsman, Hansen enjoys hunting, fishing, and wakeboarding. Residing in Austin, TX, his enthusiasm for swimming has established him as one of the sport's most passionate speakers.
