Allison Williams Biography
Allison Williams made her mark in the television industry with her performance in the HBO series "Girls" from 2012 to 2017. Her acting prowess was recognized with a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the 22nd Critics' Choice Awards. In addition to her television work, Williams demonstrated her theatrical versatility by taking on the title role in the live television presentation of the musical "Peter Pan Live!" in 2014, alongside Christopher Walken as Captain Hook.
Williams' career took a turn towards the cinematic universe with her role in Jordan Peele's psychological horror "Get Out" in 2017, which marked her film breakthrough. Her performance earned her nominations at the MTV Movie Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. This shift towards the genre of horror continued as she starred in and produced the science fiction horror films "M3GAN" in 2022 and "M3GAN 2.0" in 2025. Her work in "M3GAN" was critically acclaimed, and she was praised for revamping the mad-scientist archetype. In 2025, she co-starred in "Regretting You," a film adaptation of the Colleen Hoover novel.
Williams continued to expand her portfolio by venturing into streaming platforms. She appeared in the Netflix black comedy series "A Series of Unfortunate Events" from 2018 to 2019. This was followed by her role in "The Perfection," a horror film released on Netflix in 2019. In 2023, she starred in the Showtime miniseries "Fellow Travelers," which won a Peabody Award for Chronicling LGBTQ+ History Over 50 Years. Williams' diverse and innovative body of work has earned her the title of a 'horror queen' by several media outlets.
