Alex Garland is an English author, screenwriter, and filmmaker recognized for his contributions to speculative fiction across novels, film, and television. Garland gained attention as a novelist with the book "The Beach," which was adapted into a film directed by Danny Boyle and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tilda Swinton. He followed this with "The Tesseract," which also received a film adaptation.
