Aaron Moore Biography
Aaron Moore is a licensed mental health counselor with a masters degree in counseling, working with adults and teenagers walking through a wide range of struggles to find healing and recovery. Moore co-founded Solace Counseling in Orlando, Florida with his wife Michelle. When not counseling, Moore travels and speaks on behalf of TWLOHA, engaging audiences with a conversational style that invites students into a discussion of life, struggle, recovery, and healing. Moore balances a counselor’s perspective with real-life stories and humor.
Moore believes that the stigma and shame connected with struggles like depression and addiction are often what keep people suffering in secrecy and silence. He encourages people to begin to speak more openly about the struggles they are going through, battling the stigma and shame with honesty and compassion.
Since becoming involved with TWLOHA in 2006, Moore has worked closely with the organization as a speaker and advisor, as well as helping to train and educate TWLOHA staff and interns. Over the past four years he has spoken to colleges and groups internationally with a message of hope and help. Moore has also played a major role in launching TWLOHA’s Move Community Conference, serving as the primary speaker as well as creating content and curriculum that helps attendees gain a better understanding of difficult topics like addiction, depression, self injury, and suicide. His hope is that through TWLOHA’s message, people can begin to find encouragement that hope and recovery are possible.
