Xavier Rolet Biography
Mr. Xavier Rolet has been the Chief Executive Officer of London Stock Exchange Group plc, an affiliate of London Stock Exchange Plc since May 2009. Mr. Rolet served as the Chief Executive of Lehman Brothers at France of Lehman Brothers Inc. since August 2007 and served as its Head of Senior Relationship Management for Europe since 2003. Since joining Lehman in 2000, Mr. Rolet has worked in a variety of roles including Co-Head of Global Equity Trading. He has 25 years of international markets experience gained at a number of major financial institutions. From 2000 to 2008, he was a senior executive at Lehman Brothers (Europe), where he was instrumental in developing its business into Europe's leading agency broker. Prior to Lehman Brothers, he held senior equity trading positions at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Credit Suisse First Boston and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Rolet serves as the Chairman of the Strategic Advisory Group of London Stock Exchange. He has been a Director of London Stock Exchange Group Plc since March 16, 2009. Mr. Rolet serves as a Director of Banque Lehman Brothers S.A. and Paris EUROPLACE. He served as a Director at LCH. Clearnet Group Ltd. from June 2009 to January 2010. He serves as Member of Supervisory Board at Columbia Business School. He is also a Member of the Conseil d'Orientation of Euronext Paris, the European Securities Markets Expert Group of the European Commission, and a Member of the French Government's Strategic Council for Attractiveness. Mr. Rolet holds MBA in 1981 from Columbia University and MS in Management from Nice Sophia Antipolis Ecole Suprieure De Commerce.
