The Cadillac Three Biography
The Cadillac Three, originally known as The Cadillac Black, is an American rock band consisting of native Nashvillians Jaren Johnston (lead vocals, guitar), Neil Mason (drums, vocals), and Kelby Ray (lap steel guitar, bass guitar, vocals). Long-time friends and musical co-conspirators, they've weathered their wild teenage years, tumultuous tours, major label letdowns, and significant triumphs. Notably, Johnston has a successful songwriting career, penning singles for renowned artists such as Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Steven Tyler, Dallas Smith, and Jake Owen.
Over the years, The Cadillac Three have released a series of albums through Big Machine Records, including "Bury Me in My Boots," which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, "Legacy" in 2017, "Country Fuzz" and "Tabasco & Sweet Tea" both in 2020 and "The Years Go Fast" in 2023. Their unique sound, which hovers between radio-ready country anthems, hard-and-heavy rock, and traditional Southern folk, has seen them chart singles on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, as well as the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts.
In addition to their music, The Cadillac Three have made their presence felt on the airwaves with their own radio show, Garage Radio, on Planet Rock. They've also made television appearances as special guests on the TV show "Nashville." Beyond their discography, they have released a number of EPs and music videos for songs like "Tennessee Mojo," "The South," "I'm Southern," "Party Like You," "White Lightning," and "Graffiti."
