Steve Nicander Biography
Steve Nicander is a health activist, wellness coach, and inspirational speaker. A few years ago, he was on the brink of suicide, bed-ridden, and tipping the scale at over 635 pounds. After admitting himself into hospital, he had an epiphany; a soul searching moment. While having a brief stay at a physical rehabilitation center, Nicander began to search for a solution to his dilemma. He scoured the internet and researched nutritional information from well-known doctors like Weil, Oz, and Kessler, among others. The book "Change Your Brain Change Your Body" would eventually change his life. The book describes how leading a brain fit life can help reverse, eliminate, and possibly cure chronic illness.
With the book as a catalyst in his wellness journey, Nicander dropped more than 250 pounds in the first year. Through an amazing course of events, he not only met Dr. Oz, appeared on Oprah's Weight Loss Finale, but also met and befriended his hero, Dr. Amen. In turn, Dr. Amen offered him a job with Amen Clinics and the Brain Fit Life program, designed to help you improve your brain power, memory, willpower and mood while becoming smarter, healthier, thinner and happier.
Nicander continues to coach, motivate, speak, and work to inspire people to take back control of their lives to maximize their brains, health, and well-being. He encourages others to believe in themselves because ultimately, it all begins and ends with the brain. In order to have complete balance, we must create equilibrium in all three phases: mind, body, and spirit.
