Steph Littlebird is an Indigenous artist, author and curator of the nationally recognized exhibition “This IS Kalapuyan Land.”
Littlebird's work spans many mediums, from children’s books to political cartoons and Indigenous-centered curatorial projects. Her work has been featured by PBS "News Hour," Oregon Public Radio’s "Think Out Loud" and the Oregonian. Her work blends traditional aesthetic with digital design to create vibrant and thought-provoking images.
Steph’s first children’s book "My Powerful Hair," made in collaboration with New York Times bestselling Indigenous author Carole Lindstrom, earned the 2024 Carter G. Woodson Book Award. Her author debut, “You Are the Land,” will release with Penguin publishing in Spring 2026.
