Proverbial is comprised of members as diverse and unique as their compositions. Their various musical backgrounds converge to form an eclectic mix of reggae, hip-hop, and rock and roll; all conjured from the soul. Legends such as Led Zeppelin, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Roots, Sublime, Bob Marley and The Police have all been influential in the shaping of Proverbial’s sound. These steps include opening for major acts such as Easy Star All Stars, G. Love and The Special Sauce, Sublime with Rome, Badfish - A Tribute to Sublime, J Boog, The Flobots, The Movement, Ballyhoo! and Spiritual Rez to name a few. Proverbial had the pleasure to be apart of some huge festivals including Floyd Fest 13, Blackwater Music Festival and the second California Roots The Carolina Sessions.
