Millie McGhee-Morris is a multi-entrepreneur, successful publisher, author, mentor, inspirational speaker, educator, and philanthropist. She finished high school nearly illiterate, but re-educated herself. She learned how to read at the age of 47 and attended (UMUC) University of Maryland university college to receive her MHR Degree in 2016. She has written and published several book which you can review on her website www.milliemcgheemorris.com. She is a filmmaker of a documentary of 21 years of her work finding her roots. She has been a member of SAG/AFTRA union since 1994 and is now an Honorary life time member. She has written several youth programs for middle school/high school and college students. She has published several books for other authors and mentored new writers that are now published authors. She is the CEO of New Writers In Action Publishing in Maryland. Millie is passionate about her work in inspiring the youth about the importance of learning to read. She started an online youth program in 2018 called, New Writers in Action Youth Writing After-school Program with students from ten selected states in th USA. She received Numerous Awards for her work. Millie is married to Dr. Leslie L. Morris MD, they have 6 children, 15 grandchildren and a host of relatives.
