Michael Rooker Biography
Michael Rooker's career in American cinema has spanned both the 20th and 21st centuries, with notable roles in "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" and AMC's "The Walking Dead." In more recent roles, he played Yondu Udonta in "Guardians of the Galaxy," "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," along with appearances in "The Suicide Squad," "The Out-Laws," "Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1," and "Superman." Frequently collaborating with director James Gunn, Rooker has appeared in all of his films, including "Slither" and "Super." His work extends beyond cinema into video games, providing the voice for characters in "Call of Duty: Black Ops" and "The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct."
Rooker's performances have not gone unnoticed in the industry, winning the Fantasporto Award for Best Actor and the Golden Space Needle Award for Best Actor for "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer." He was also nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Yondu Udonta in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." In 2012, his contribution to "The Walking Dead" won him the Satellite Award for Best Cast – Television Series.
