Lover of all things health and wellness.
That pretty much sums me up but more specifically, I’m a NYC-based Certified Holistic Wellness Coach, Healthy Living Expert, creator of The Total Reset Plan and Author of How To Be Holistically Hot: A 30 Day Guide to Making Men Swoon and Your Friends Want What You Have.
Having successfully learned to balance health and wellness while working in the corporate world, I share my own health secrets, get-fit tips and the cooking expertise that has inspired countless women to end their love/hate relationship with food and turbocharge their health to become holistically hot in way that’s fun and fearless. No crazy diets or all-juice cleanses required.
With the women in wellness who inspire me: Candice Kumai (L) and Kris Carr, I pride myself not only on helping my clients adopt a healthy diet but also on empowering them to live a life they truly love.
I’ve been featured as a wellness and cooking expert on eHow and Shape.com and Vital Juice and am a regular contributor to MindBodyGreen, Kris Carr’s Crazy Sexy Life, Gal Time and The Well Daily; I regularly publish on my own blog, Where I Need to Be.
After spending a decade and a half as a junk-food vegetarian, I began a love affair with whole foods nutrition in 2006. An exercise and outdoors fanatic, I’m an avid runner and yoga enthusiast with a passion for adventure and trying new activities.
I love to travel, ski and have completed several triathlons and half and full marathons, including the Nautica New York City Triathlon and ING New York City Marathon.
I received my nutrition training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest nutrition school, where I studied every dietary theory from traditional philosophies like Ayurveda to modern concepts like Paleo.
I’ve studied with and been inspired by wellness and nutrition greats like Mark Hyman, Joel Fuhrman, John Douillard, Deepak Chopra, Geneen Roth, Mark Sisson, David Wolfe,Kris Carr and Candice Kumai.
I’m certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and have a BS in journalism from Northwestern University and an MA in Marketing from New York University.
I’ve taken cooking classes at the Natural Gourmet Institute and have a certificate from the University of California San Francisco in Nutrition for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.
I volunteer as an Outreach Education Committee Co-chair for the New York Junior League, teaching life and wellness skills to New Yorkers in underprivileged communities and serve as the City Coordinator for the Young Female Entrepreneurs of NYC.
