Lorrie Morgan, a country music singer and actress, has a significant discography that spans various genres. Notably, her musical style is defined by country pop influences and her dramatic singing voice. Morgan moved to BNA Records in 1992, releasing the album "Watch Me," which included the number-one single "What Part of No" and also achieved platinum status. Her first Christmas album, "Merry Christmas from London," featured duets with Tammy Wynette, Andy Williams, and Johnny Mathis. She ended her contract with BNA Records in 2000 after releasing the compilation "To Get to You: Greatest Hits Collection."
Morgan's career has spanned multiple decades, and she continues to be active in the music industry. She has been nominated for several Academy of Country Music Awards, including Top New Female Vocalist in 1983 and Top Female Vocalist in 1991 and 1992. Her album "Common Thread" won the Country Music Association Award for Album of the Year in 1994. She has also been nominated for Grammy Awards, including Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1990 for "'Til a Tear Becomes a Rose" and Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 1993 for "Something in Red." Her most recent album release, as of 2024, is titled "Dead Girl Walking."
