Kevin Szawala, known as Mr. Peace, is a nationally recognized youth motivational speaker from Metro Detroit who focuses on bullying prevention, character education, student mental health, diversity and inclusion, and suicide awareness.
A graduate of the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor with a major in Economics and minors in Spanish and Global Change, as well as an MBA from Wayne State University with a focus in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management, Szawala initially worked in Corporate America. However, after several years in the auto industry, he decided to pursue his true passion for working with youth, making a significant career shift in 2010 to become a full-time speaker.
Since then, Mr. Peace has reached over 1,000,000 people through engaging presentations combining hip-hop, humor, and heart. He has spoken in over 1,000 schools across 20 states, delivering powerful messages on bullying, cyberbullying, diversity, substance abuse, and suicide prevention. Known for his peace, nonviolence, and social justice work at the University of Michigan, he has extended his nationwide advocacy, particularly through his annual P.E.A.C.E. Day event with the United Nations International Day of Peace.
As the founder of Mr. Peace, Inc., a 501(c)(3) motivational speaking non-profit organization, Szawala is dedicated to helping at-risk youth discover their true purpose.
