Judah & The Lion Biography
Judah & the Lion, an American folk band from Nashville, Tennessee, emerged on the music scene in 2011. Over the past decade, the band, currently comprising Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald, has released four studio albums and five EPs, establishing an eclectic musical style that blends Americana, bluegrass, folk, rock, and electropop. Their breakthrough single, "Take It All Back," topped Billboard's Alternative Songs chart for three consecutive weeks and received platinum certification in October 2019, prompting Billboard magazine to name them as their first "Chartbreaker" artist in January 2017. In addition, their song "Why Did You Run?" garnered international recognition when it was included in the EA Sports FIFA 20 soundtrack.
With a reputation for engaging performances, Judah & the Lion have graced the stage on multiple widely-viewed television shows, including "Late Show with David Letterman," "Conan," "The Late Late Show with James Corden," "Good Morning America," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," "Today," and "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
