Jim Rogers is a global macro strategist, author, and financial commentator whose career spans Wall Street, academia, and international markets. Rogers began his career at Arnhold and S. Bleichroder investment bank, where he met George Soros. Together, they founded the Quantum Fund, one of the first global investment funds. Rogers played a key role in growing the Quantum Fund, achieving a significant return over a decade compared to the S&P 500. He retired from the fund at age 37.
After his retirement, Rogers continued as a private investor and educator, managing his own portfolio and serving as a professor of finance at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He also moderated "The Dreyfus Roundtable" on WCBS and "The Profit Motive" on FNN. Rogers established the Rogers International Commodities Index (RICI), reflecting his focus on commodities investing.
