James Corden Biography
James Corden is an English actor, comedian, writer, producer, and television host whose career spans stage, screen, and late-night television in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Corden first gained recognition in the UK as the co-writer and star of the BBC sitcom "Gavin & Stacey." Co-written with Ruth Jones, the show ran for several years and earned Corden the BAFTA Television Award for Best Comedy Performance. The series achieved significant popularity, with a Christmas special drawing the highest Christmas Day viewership in the UK for more than a decade.
Before his television breakthrough, Corden was cast as Timms in Alan Bennett's play "The History Boys" at the National Theatre. The production toured internationally and had a Tony Award-winning run on Broadway, with Corden reprising his role in the film adaptation. His stage career continued with a leading role in the National Theatre production "One Man, Two Guvnors," which transferred from the West End to Broadway. Corden won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for this performance.
