Howard Farran Biography
Howard Farran, DDS, MBA, is a practicing dentist, entrepreneur, author, and international speaker with more than three decades of experience in the dental industry. Farran completed undergraduate studies at Creighton University and earned his dental degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry. After graduation, he opened Today's Dental in Phoenix, Arizona, and later earned an MBA from Arizona State University. His career reflects a commitment to integrating business management with clinical dentistry, a philosophy that has influenced his work across the profession.
As the founder of Dentaltown, Farran established one of the first and largest online communities for dental professionals, providing a platform for dentists to connect, share knowledge, and access continuing education. He is also the founder and CEO of Farran Media, the parent company of Dentaltown.com, Dentaltown Magazine, Hygienetown, Orthotown, and Townie Meeting. Dentaltown Magazine is distributed to more than 120,000 dentists in 43 countries each month, serving as a key resource for dental news, practice management, and clinical advancements.
