The Foo Fighters is an American rock band that came into existence in Seattle in 1994. The band was initially a one-man project by Dave Grohl, a former drummer of Nirvana. Over the years, the band's lineup has seen several changes, with the current members being Grohl (lead vocals, guitar), Nate Mendel (bass), Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear (guitars), Rami Jaffee (keyboards), and Josh Freese (drums).
