2017 Received the National Achievement Award from the President of the United States Barack Obama.

James served in the capacity of Assistant to the Attorney General for the State of Georgia.
He has over 40 years of professional experience working in the field of education as a teacher; 35 years of professional experience as a Senior Pastor/Minister of several churches in America; 35 years in the Professional Security/Personal Protection Industry; and presently serving as a Consultant to ministries in foreign countries.
James graduated from the University of Redlands in Redlands, California, with a BA Degree in Speech and Drama, along with minors in Religious Psychology and Public Education. James graduated from Colgate-Rochester Divinity School of Rochester, New York, receiving a Masters of Divinity Degree in Theology. James attended the University of Rochester Medical Center receiving certification in Pastoral Psychology. The Doctorate of Ministry degree was conferred upon James (Dr. James West) at The Kings Seminary (Kings University) located in Van Nuys, California.
Dr. West is with Logos University as an Adjunct Faculty member. He also works with the Clayton County School System of the State of Georgia
