Donny Robinson Biography
Donald Robinson, better known as Donnie Robinson is a professional Bicycle Motocross (BMX) racer. He was born in Napa, California and graduated from Napa High in 2001.
Donnie Robinson turned pro in 2002 and is one of the worlds most talented racers. In his breakout season in 2006 he won 20 races. In a sport where most riders tower over 6 feet, Donnie dominates with his 5'5" frame. He continuously impresses the industry with his instinct, stamina and strength. Donnie developed the dR In Motion youth mentoring program and speaks to kids worldwide about the importance of self esteem, goal-setting and living a healthy, active lifestyle.
Donnie earned a spot on the first ever Olympic BMX Team in 2008 and helped the U.S. Team take home 3 of 6 BMX medals awarded in Beijing. Donnie placed third and took home a bronze medal, and followed that up in 2009 with the World Champion title.
He is determined to utilize the Olympics as a way to bring back the popularity, excitement and intensity that once surrounded BMX racing in the 80's.
